Plan A Global Media is led by Lyall Sumner, a BAFTA and EMMY award-winning media executive with over 25 years of experience across content production, platform development and global streaming.

His career spans the global entertainment ecosystem — from producing internationally distributed feature films to pioneering early interactive and on-demand television experiences in the UK.

He developed original content, launched channels, and led channel branding and programming strategies.

Building platforms and content experiences that reach audiences at scale.

He went on to play a key role in building and scaling next-generation TV platforms at Liberty Global, delivering products used by millions of viewers across multiple markets.

At Roku, he led international growth for The Roku Channel, shaping monetisation across FAST, AVOD and streaming ecosystems.

This combination of creative, commercial and platform expertise underpins Plan A Global Media’s approach — building sustainability-led content designed to inspire audiences and scale globally.
